The students are slowly coming down from the sugar Highs of Easter and the getting back into the swing of things after Spring Break. Today a couple of my cutie patoots reminded me how honest little ones can be. I had two kinders working on pronouns and articulation sounds. One of them looked at me and asked very seriously if I had a job. I told him yes, I get to work with all kinds of kids like him and his peer. His peer then said, no a real job. I replied "A real job?" and he answered "yeah, a real job like at the pizza place". Ah, out of the mouths of babes!
I am truly blessed that I work in the field I do...kids have a way of making you feel so humble in a gentle way. They also help you not take the world at face value...something we often forget.
